And so our mutual friend and book agent, Dave Moldaware, who was helping me with my proposal, especially when I got stuck, we were just throwing out ideas of things that have really moved me.
I'd written actually a big chunk of the book before even titling it.
Um, and then one of the things that popped out to me was a, was a quote from a previous podcast guest named JJ Redick, who was a basketball player and now is the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
And he had said to me, you've never arrived.
You're always becoming.
So that becoming was a big deal.
And in fact, it's embossed and the background of my book, it's, it's raised up as you feel it.
It feels beautiful.
I just literally got the first cover, uh,
copies of the book yesterday.
So it's, it's fresh in my mind.
Um, yeah, it's very, very cool.
Um, so combine that I'm a big fan of Charlie, uh, Munger and Warren Buffett and the fact that, um, they've built these extraordinary careers, investing and business and finance, but it's, it's actually, uh, they're such big believers in the power of compounding.
So you look at that, you look at my life, look at the 700 plus interviews, the idea generation that Dave and I went through and we put it all together.
And that's how we got the price of becoming.
And the subtitle is important to understanding the compounding.
