So think, think about when somebody is like, you've been showing me love for like an hour now, but think about that.
somebody when they're genuinely curious and interested in you and what you've done and they ask you questions and they actually listen and then they ask you follow-up questions to go a little bit deeper.
So that is how I both give and receive love.
I ask questions for a living.
I have conversations for a living, right?
I try to work with leaders for a living.
And a lot of the time when someone says like you advise CEOs and leaders, like, well, you're just like coaching them and telling them what to do.
That's almost never what happens when we have our one-on-ones.
I'm just peppering them with questions because these are brilliant, bright, smart, thoughtful, intentional people, right?
they have the answers, they just need somebody to help get them out.
And so my job is to be curious about them, about their problems, about their business, about their industry, about their people.
And so I'm just continually asking them question after question after question and asking them follow-up questions based on what they're saying.
And eventually,
They have the answers in there.
My job is to help them get those things out.
So being curious is a way to learn.
Being interested in people is a way to show them love and respect.
It's also a way to build really deep, rich relationships.
And it's the ultimate form of love, both giving and receiving it.
So I think if you want to build a rich life, you want to build a life full of rich relationships.
