The difference was, though, when we played in the games, the other guy played better than I did.

He added more value to the team.

So while I don't think that means you shouldn't work hard, you absolutely should.

They care about the value you can provide to them.

That's just the way the world works.

That is how the world works.

You think you're entitled to something.

You're literally entitled to absolutely nothing ever.

The way the world works is what value do you bring to the situation?

What value do you bring to other people?

And if you add value to their lives, you make their lives better.

Good things are going to happen to you.

If you don't, they won't say this.

This goes for any relationship.
