And I think stiffness or hard to play against is almost as contagious when when
When one commits to it, it usually ends up trickling down throughout the lines or even into guys that you wouldn't necessarily think are stiff players.
But that doesn't mean that's not fighting, but playing through hands and winning puck battles.
And sometimes that is an element of stiffness.
So I do want to be harder to play against.
I think with the addition today, obviously, Brendan is extremely difficult to play against.
He plays an inside game.
And if I can tweak a few smaller things to continue that trend, I will.
But like I've said, I'm not trying to...
make this a speedy process.
I'm trying to be diligent.
I'm trying to be calculated and strategic with everything I'm doing.
And if it doesn't happen overnight, that's okay.
I want to do it the right way as opposed to race into it.
Anytime somebody really wants to be in your organization, it's hard not to love the idea of it.
Then when you look at someone like Brendan with his experience, the passion that he plays the game with, where we are at as a group, I feel Brendan feels like he's got a lot of hockey left in him and a lot to prove off of maybe a little bit of a frustrating year for him.
I think he's going to come in here kicking and screaming, going to be very great.
You hear me talk a lot about professionalism and quality of teammates.
I mean, is there anybody that checks the box more than this guy?
So my discussion with him this morning, he is ecstatic.
