You don't have three players sitting down having a conversation like that with a prospective coach as part of the process.

And you gloss over it a little bit respectfully by saying,

You'd be crazy to think that players don't have a say.

You should have followed up and said, Brian, did you ever have Scott Niedermeyer sit down with a prospective coach along with his two assistant captains?

And you know it's different than just consulting with Donner.

And just let me clarify my point on that, Bob.

I'm not even saying that it's ridiculous or it shouldn't have happened.
