It was the year when PCI DSS compliance was required.
Therefore, my role at that time was to support the PCI DSS compliance efforts in order for local stakeholders to follow the law.
It was also a challenge to increase awareness and activities on payment security.
Since then, we have been cooperating with payment brands, QSA, and related organizations and communities to gain a better understanding of the PCI standards.
Could you tell us why you applied for PCI SSC?
Yes, I have a lot of memorable experiences through PCI SSC, but one of them is the PCI DHS version 4.0, which is used to create a Japanese version of related documents.

As I mentioned earlier, in Japan, PCI DSS is linked to the law, and high-quality Japanese documents were needed.

The Japanese version of the document provided by the local community, the Japan Card Information Security Association , was reviewed and revised jointly by Kamei QSA and the Japanese version of the draft.
The version that received that review has now been returned to the PCI SSC and has been released on the website.
This is a good model of collaboration between PCI SSC and local stakeholders.

When this podcast is released, I think I'm already out of Fischer SSC.
After retirement, I was in the payment industry for a long time.
I would like to support the industry.
And one more thing, I would like to do volunteer work to protect local natural heritage in my favorite Okinawa.
