Feedback desperately needed somewhere to practice, so knowing none of their parents were going to put up with the kind of noise a band would make, Larry knocked on the staff room door.

Their music teacher, Albert Bradshaw, remembers being struck by the dedication.
And during rehearsals, Ivan McCormack did his best to join in.
Ivan was so invested that he saved up 15 quid and went and bought an amp from his friend.

Ivan was once interviewed by a French journalist Romain Lepetit for the book Le Syndrome Pete Best referring to musicians like former Beatles drummer Pete Best who were part of a band's original line-up before being let go.
But I assured Adam that Ivan is fine now and he's also in a successful wedding band called 29 Fingers.
That's good to know.
The band didn't just find their musical soulmates at school.
They built relationships there, many of which have lasted as long as the band.
