Honestly, it wouldn't be a surprise to me.

True.

I'm being dead serious in terms of how they're thinking about it.

And there has been a massive decline in the murder rate.

So if you put those two things together, you're not as worried about violence.

Then you also have this white collar prosecution.

It wouldn't shock me, but I think what it comes down to is a rejection at the mass level, very similar.

to how the public reacted after Obama was president for a year.

There are a lot of reasons largely for that, but it culminated in that huge wipeout, the shellacking of 2010.

And I think, well, first of all, the problem with this is it all presumes that Trump cares at all about their chances, which it just doesn't seem like they care.
