So that's uh, you know, clearly the the dominant driver of US equity markets at the moment.
And uh, you know, we did see the semiconductor stocks have a pretty average week last week and the Nasdaq's now
Eight percent of its recent highs.
Um, but I guess uh offsetting that a little bit is just the fact that if you look at, you know, broader corporate earnings, so beyond uh big big tech, uh they remain pretty solid, uh, which is consistent with this notion that the US economy is uh doing doing pretty well.

Yeah, good morning, Phil.
So I mean, I guess it sort of feels a little bit familiar, more conflict, more tough talk coming out of the US, oil higher, treasury yields higher.
and equity markets sort of wavering a little bit.
I guess you're quite focused on earnings season.
But yes, it feels like more of the same.
And FX markets just sort of broadly treading water, I think, against this backdrop.
So, you know, oil's up 30% so far this month.
So it's had a pretty sharp rise.
And like you said, making new highs overnight, although earlier this morning just retraced a touch.
But it doesn't feel like
we're in anything that resembles a de-escalation
Yeah, that feels exactly right.
You know, I guess there's a sense that, you know, some escalation is sort of possible when oil is, you know, at the bottom of the range, sort of hanging around $70 a barrel.
And you could argue maybe the Iranians are incentivised to misbehave a little bit with oil low.
But clearly, as it approaches $100 a barrel, you know, I think the dynamics shift and you would argue that perhaps the US is incentivised to consider some changes
