So it means that I think we end up with, we sort of transition from a world where we had what ended up being quite a notable spike, but in the end, a brief spike in energy prices.
And now we possibly transition into a world where we're maybe looking at an elongated sort of
situation of higher energy prices upward pressure on inflation and to your point that's probably an environment given that the starting point's not as favorable as you know one would in a perfect world otherwise hope um you know where central banks are clearly a little bit more alert to
the upside risk to policy rates.
And that's against a backdrop where we've already got a number of central banks who are contemplating some sort of modest recalibration of policy.
So that's sort of happening in New Zealand, it's happening in Europe, happening in a few other countries, possibly Japan as well, maybe the US.
So that's definitely the sort of broad direction of travel and I guess a period of much higher energy prices
It will push inflation higher, worry central banks about the pass-through of energy costs.
So that does feel like the right direction of travel for front-end yields, at least.

So the headline measure came down a bit, although I think most people are sort of of the view that that's a temporary decline because we know that utility prices...
are going higher in July.
So that'll push up headline.
And then, of course, what we just spoke about with, you know, oil prices and the like going up in July as well, that'll add output pressure to next month's inflation reading.
So I think the market's pretty happy just to look through that temporary decline in headline.
But you're right, services a little bit higher.
