And I guess, you know, yesterday's core inflation numbers sort of, I think, reflect that risk.
So sort of feel like, you know, we're running sort of short vol on our RBA call in the next
sort of couple of months and long vol a bit further out in the sense that if rates move in the next couple of months, it's going to be up and not down.
And the RBA governor was pretty clear about that at her press conference earlier in the month, just sort of saying, look, you know, if inflation doesn't do what we think it's going to do,
it's quite possible we might need to lift rates.
And I think she was pretty happy to leave the market with that message.
And I think she'd be reasonably happy with where market pricing is today.
Yeah, that's what we're looking for, as is the market.
So spending numbers we think will be pretty solid.
They've been very volatile month to month.
So soft in April, we think we'll get a decent rebound in May.
We're looking for a 0.8% increase.
Labor market's going to be really interesting.
Unemployment rate unexpectedly popped up to four and a half in April.
We think that was more to do with the timing of the survey.
And so the expectation is that we should unwind some of that
If we don't, I think there's some pretty important signal in that.
And that is that maybe the labor market is starting to soften a bit more quickly than we all expect.
So that will be significant.
And then we also get job vacancies.
