There's lots of I guess in interconnected moving parts uh in in all of this.

Um but I I I think, you know, the the general sort of story is, you know, if you if you knew how long it was gonna last for and you knew the trajectory of the oil price, then you know, it'd be pretty easy.

But uh, you know, at the moment it does still feel like there's fairly wide bands of uncertainty around both of those things.

So I guess uh it does feel like we'll be trading.

Um, but any even with that uh in mind, yes, it was a slightly sort of soft number, but I'm not sure that that is going to worry the Bank of Japan.
voice-verified
Too much, uh, in terms of their thinking about, you know, what will be a very gradual normalization of of interest rates uh over there.
voice-verified
But yeah, absolutely.
voice-verified
You know, it was a little bit softer than the market uh was hoping for and perhaps, you know, that might have been the driver of s the weakness in the yen that you mentioned uh at the top.
voice-verified
Yeah, that's right.
voice-verified
So, you know, at face value, not a great number for uh December of last year for European industrial production.
voice-verified
But actually if we look at the quarter as a whole, it wasn't too bad.
