Wow.
Okay.
I would not recommend just moving all your money to Merrill just for the rewards.
But if you're someone who already banks with Bank of America, if you already have money with Merrill, don't overlook this because this is a really good opportunity for you to get outsized cashback rewards.
Yeah, I think for your everyday spending, you're doing really well.
Where you could, I think, benefit from a travel credit card is not just though from the spending rewards, but it's from the additional benefits that come from holding a card.
Lacey mentioned something like Delta Airlines.
And with that, you're getting benefits like free checked bags.
With the Chase Sapphire Preferred, you're getting really excellent travel insurance.
So I would actually ask Lacey, are you paid money for checked bags on Delta all the time?
In which case, having a Delta card can certainly make sense.
Are you someone who purchases travel insurance just out of pocket?
If so, then putting that travel spending on something like a Chase Sapphire Preferred also really makes sense.
If you're not traveling a lot, then having these travel credit cards ends up just being a burden to figure out how to justify that annual fee.
And Lacey said, how do I justify the annual fee?
It's actually quite simple.
You just go and look at what all the benefits are and you say, how much do I actually use these?
And if you use them enough to justify the annual fee, then it probably makes sense.
If you feel like you're really having to stretch yourself, it doesn't make sense.
So I'll walk you through a couple of them.
