His visit was in
intended for discussions with the Israelis, with Netanyahu, with Israel Katz, the defense minister, about the sale of the F-35 to Turkey, something the Israelis are not happy about.
He was supposed to be going there to discuss this, but inevitably,
the conversation was going to turn to Iran and what's happened overnight.
And it seems that the White House has now pulled the plug on Pete Hegsa's trip to Israel.
And it was something that I was watching quite closely, actually.
You know, he's one of the most hawkish members of Donald Trump's administration when it comes to Iran.
So, you know...
we would have been very interested to hear what he was discussing with Benjamin Netanyahu behind closed doors, because there are lots of rumours and there's lots of speculation in this region among sources that I'm speaking to that Israel could potentially be planning something for once the World Cup is over.
Obviously, that is just speculation at this stage.
But certainly, I think there's very little confidence in this region that Israel
isn't going to attempt to do something again, whether that's against Iran or certainly when it comes to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, we've seen this pattern of events regularly here in the last couple of months.
Bahrain and Kuwait are being targeted by Iran.
And interestingly, Saudi, Qatar, the UAE are no longer being attacked.
Lots of speculation and gossip as to why that is.
We have absolutely no official details.
like, word on that.
But has there been a deal done?
