Everyone knows everyone.

Whoever knows my grandma, they obviously know me.

She cared enough to have called my grandma to get a hold of me and really slap me in the face and say, this is an opportunity, so take it.

Oh, honestly, like even getting to hold the dress in my hands at the time, I was a bit taken back because I think at that moment I really realised like, oh, this is like my last name is on this dress.

Like I'm going to wear this dress with pride and passion and really play for not only myself, but also the last name that I carry on my back and for the nation that will always support us.

Playing for Tonga is always like playing with 15 of my sisters, if I had 15 sisters.

It's like playing with real family.

I always say, if I'm in a netball team, that's my family regardless, but playing with girls of your ethnicity, your culture, of your country, that's above and beyond.

It's way different.

I feel like I'm representing them as well as the country that we are playing for.

It was what every Tongan, not only in Tonga but worldwide, looked forward to every evening.

It was a sign of hope.

It was our team playing during tough times, giving our people hope and something to look forward to every day.

So coming out of that competition, our king and queen gave that name, Tatala.

Tatala is a rare bird that comes out to give hope.

And that's where we got our name in 2022.

One of the things that I could testify to is, you know, you speak it, you will it and you make it happen.

Yeah, it was almost like we spoke about it in 2018 and, you know, it was there.

You talk to any person.

coach in the world, they'll be like, you know, I don't know what they're eating these people like to be able to talk like that, you know, at that level.
