to not only deem the vote of the other siblings void for reasons that I won't bore the non-legal audience with, but relating to a 2017 court order that she says essentially mandates that all the siblings, you know, for the entirety of her lifetime, do whatever necessary to keep her in a governor role.

So that petition then become now we're in the court system because the vote from the other siblings is essentially on hold.

They're deeming it void.

There's a hearing that was, I think, initially November 3rd that just got pushed back to December 8th.

I'm very curious to see where this goes and to quickly frame it in terms of what's at stake.

Jeannie needs to stop this vote in order to hold on to governorship.

The tricky part is the NBA rules mandate that you have at least a 15 percent ownership in the team to be the governor.

Well, within the bus trust, it's 17.8 percent.

But that's

six people in the bus trust.

So, you know, there's a few different avenues here, but let's say they hypothetically decided to dissolve the trust.

That would be a problem for Jeannie in terms of governorship because, you know, she doesn't have, you know, it doesn't work this way, but if you break it down, she has 3%.

So we'll see where that goes.

I mean, we've followed this bus

family relationship for a long time.

I mean, we know she fired Jim back in the day.

She fired Joey and Jesse.

You know, her late father, Jerry Buss, certainly made the decision that is the driving force in all of her actions, that she was the one to carry the torch and to lead the Lakers.

Last thing, and I know I'm in the weeds a little bit, is it's worth monitoring how the Iger-Kushner group plays

handles this situation, because last I've been told they were supportive of Jeannie, you know, not even just open, but endorsing the idea of her being the governor if she could get through this stuff.
