Like, ah, guess what?

We, we haven't really been honest, not nobody honest, but like, we didn't know how rich Josh was.

And, um, he, according to the California post, put out a story a couple of days ago that, that Josh was, uh,

on track to be the governor of the lakers i will admit when i read that story the part that jumped out at me is like not one mention of the bus battle whatsoever and there was a source telling the writer in that piece that that josh and not bob eiger would be the governor and i understand that i was again a little surprised that there was no acknowledgement that there's still this subplot that's developing

I don't know exactly what to make of that, but it does raise your radar a little bit up where you kind of go, okay, so somebody involved is signaling that it's going to be Josh there.

Is this like an early way of getting that messaging out there as the buses keep battling it out?

I don't know.

But yeah, if it wasn't Jeannie, I would certainly handicap Josh.

I mean, as far as the state of affairs, I don't know which way it's going to go.

There is a gap.

It's not as big as I thought it was before having a few recent conversations.

It seems like there's a window here to get something done and put him back in a Pistons jersey.

I think what's interesting is like,

The QO has become such a nuclear option for players and also for teams that it's fair to wonder, like, man, if they can't completely bridge that gap, how do both sides feel about the QO?

Because...

Even from a human standpoint, as you guys know, we haven't seen a lot of people successfully take that route.

The one that is often cited here, especially because of a team similarity, is Greg Monroe back in the day.

Took the QO, got a decent deal the following summer from the Pistons.

The question is, you know, Trajan Langdon, Tom Gores, what are their thoughts on having a guy who, if he took the QO, would be a bit of, I'm not saying he wouldn't be a professional, but he would be a bit of a bitter employee.
