Look, it certainly looks that way.

I spoke to the Rugby League Players Association CEO, Clint Newton, yesterday.

And some of the things he said was basically like, no, no, no, like, yes, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

We don't even know how much of this is cash, which is the sort of all important amount that gets divvied up.

Um, but there's a lot of money that those players, I want, um, but also they sort of need to, to decide where it goes.

And, um, I am sure that, uh, Peter Vlandis will want to go out there and say, these are the best paid athletes in the country.

You know, this is why more people should play NRL, whatever.

Um, and it certainly looks that way.

So I guess, you know, clubs are going to want a bit more players are going to want a bit more, but I guess you've got to, you've got to balance out how much the women's game is contributing now, which is, um,

growing rapidly, so some money needs to go to them.

It's just there's also going to be more teams, right?

So that means more players and more people to split this between.

So if you want to grow the competition, you also have to share that money.

So I think that's sort of also what they're going to be deciding.

But at the moment, I think NRL players on average are paid a little bit under ASL players.

This might be the tipping point, or at least from 2028 when this comes into effect.
