One is that

Trump would accelerate American decline, but the second was that in this process, America would become more dangerous because it was a declining power, because it was aware of of the rise of China.

So there are these twin opportunity and threat.

I was reading a quote from it, the key quote, I think, which is in the face of the grave situation of continuously rising security risks to our

overseas interests, we must build an overseas security protection system across the entire chain.

And that's new language.

And so this this alerted me to this this issue.

And then I looked further and found more and more signs that I think this was potentially a turning point in China's approach.

Yeah, I think I think it's a evolution that I think has gained more urgency in light of

the Trump administration in particular and the the relatively more unrestrained use of American force, whether that's gonna be successful or not is is not really the question.

But the disruptions and threats from the Chinese perspective that that raises.

Trump has made claims to the Panama Canal, to the Chinese owned port of Darwin in Australia, to Greenland.

He's he's kidnapped the Venezuelan president who's a

nominally an all-weather strategic partner of China.

He's interfered with flow of oil from Iran to China.

And I think that confirmed some of China's worst fears about the nature of American power and what what it could be capable of doing.

To your question, yes, I think that's broadly fair.

Although I'd say that I think it's a transition that was always going to happen.
