So that's why this intellectual ecosystem around the security apparatus is is really important because it's a it's influential and

And in the past it has a record of at least coinciding with changes in in policy.

So to the to the actual documents that I think are significant, my my eye was caught in August 2025 when the deputy director of this think tank kicker published a piece called The End of the West with a question mark at the end.

It argued that

didn't name it specifically, but the Trump administration accelerated or would accelerate a decline in US power, but particularly the ideological and cultural and strategic unity of the traditional West.

That was interesting to me because it rhymed a little bit with Yuan Pong's two thousand and nine essay.

I read it and I I wrote something about it and I kept

I kept an eye out.

And then more and more came out from Kicker.

The arguments, these were essays by the the outgoing head of Kicker, um, and then latterly an essay by the Minister of State Security.
