Let's just start there, and I'm going to tell you why.
The first thing is you have the two top-rated players are both wingers.
It's not a premium position, but you'd love to have both players.
McKenna for his offensive upside, Stenberg for his all-around game.
Now you get into the premium position conversation.
Your first center off the board is likely to be Caleb Malhotra.
Of course, everyone's familiar with his ties there, not just organizationally, but family-wise as well.
The next thing is you're looking at Chase Reed, 6'2", 180-pound defenseman, skates like the wind.
Plenty of developmental runway based on the fact that just two years ago he was playing in the North American Hockey League.
Definitely not a premium junior scenario.
So if things do get shaken up and someone doesn't,
take McKenna and he's there at three.
If Stenberg somehow doesn't go in the first two picks and he happens to be there at three, you say, great, we have a great Swedish contingent of players here.
He should walk into this situation and feel extremely comfortable.
If those two wingers go first, now you're sitting there saying, this is fantastic.
I have a position now to draft at a premium position, Malhotra.
I would love to have Caleb Malhotra on my team.
And he's going to come in and be a two-way guy.
