He's going to be able to do things that are going to allow him to play both second and first line as a ceiling.
And I see him bottoming out as a second-line guy.
Like, who doesn't want that down the middle of the ice?
Okay, well, if we need to lean defensemen and get another young guy who's going to grow up with William there...
Okay, Chase Reed, can't think of a better guy who's really gone from basically nowhere to being an OHL point-per-game player to running the power play when Cole Hudson was hurt for the Americans at the World Juniors and who has plenty of developmental runway based on the fact that, like I said, he was playing two years ago in the NOL.
So I just think any one of those four players...
you're laughing and you'd be really happy.
And the idea that someone else is going to help make that decision for you, I think is a perfect spot.
So if I'm Vancouver and I'm the fans, yeah, of course, everyone wants the cachet of being number one, but I do believe they're in a very powerful position of three.
I mean, Verhoff would be the other guy.
So you'd be looking at one of those two players.
So if I'm looking at the San Jose Sharks, Mike Greer's background is NCAA.
Does he have an appreciation for that developmental pattern?
Okay, well then maybe you're looking at Verhoff.
And then if you're looking at a situation where it's Chase Reed, he's going to Michigan State next year, I believe.
It's a wonderful program with a great coach in Adam Nightingale, who just took a guy who played three years in the OHL, allowed him and gave him the power to produce 50 points as a freshman, and then walked into Philadelphia, Porter Martone in the NHL, and be an impactful guy right away.
So, you know, I just think San Jose would also be
be in a spot i believe to move down three or four picks yeah get a defenseman uh and acquire additional assets if mike greer should see fit so again i just think that the top end of this draft is is just going to be absolutely wild and you know i i could see my holster going to if the sharks feel that they want to address the center position so it can go a number of ways but again sitting there in the three hole you should be really happy if you're a canucks man
You won't see that until who goes off the board first.
