And the way they what they see as a skill is largely a certificate, a piece of paper, a credential.
Now, with that being said.
Companies reducing training and development means that they need workers that step in on day one and do not need a lot of love and support.
I think that sucks.
I don't think that's a good thing, but I know that's the way it is.
One thing workers can do is use the algorithms back against the systems that are trying to –
keep them in the shadows, keep them out of opportunities.
We talked last time about the Workday lawsuit, right?
We talked about all the AI and algorithms and formulas working against workers today.
So I think one thing is workers can brand their skills.
It's very, again, take a second, find what skills organizations are really looking for and make sure that you position your resume, your profile, your personal brand as best you can to win that opportunity.
Once in that opportunity, you then need to be open to speaking up, cross-skilling across jobs.
That is an area that AI is going to absolutely affect.
It's not gonna take a job.
It's going to take the little tasks within a job.
In certain industries, it's gonna take more of those
more quickly.
But one of the things that workers need to do if you're in a job today is without asking permission, speak up and find opportunities in other jobs to your left, to your right, ahead of you, behind you.
So once you've branded, then you have to make sure you're speaking up, exploring.
And for some cases, it means trying new things.
