But I think it's really, really important to explore the blue collar opportunities and skilled trade opportunities in the moment, because those are the tasks that the AI is, you know, AI and automation is not going to really be able to affect over the next decade.
I would say in the moment, you need to make sure that the job you're going to, I think you need to be able to think farther ahead.
I mean, going to college today is a much more important decision than it was a couple of decades ago.
The cost is very high.
The job opportunity on the other side of it are not as predictable as in the past.
So I think it's a much more serious decision to someone going into college.
If you are in college right now, I don't think there's anything wrong with potentially pumping the brakes and reducing credit load while you get work experience.
And the thing that has continued to shock me in the last few years is the number of young people coming out of college and going right into a master's degree.
And I don't have a master's degree, but I do know that the cost of a master's degree tacked onto a undergraduate degree
without any work experience, you're basically just, again, it's point, you're buying a credential, you're not actually building skill or being educated.
So to anybody in school right now would say, if you don't have a really good plan for what that job looks like coming out of the next two, three, four years, wherever you are in that college journey,
You know, you're probably heading down the wrong path.
And there's not again, there's nothing wrong with slowing the court.
It took me seven years to graduate college, by the way.
It took me seven years.
I worked.
I had to work through college at a family situation where I had to.
And I had like a lot of folks out there can can relate to had to do multiple things at the same time.
And I will tell you that there's there's.
nothing better that someone can be doing right now than to just make sure that the job that they're studying for is the one they want and the one that's gonna be there and the one that's gonna pay them what they expect.
