I'm sure a lot of people know folks like that that move into, they get promoted to a manager title, and then they're largely doing a lot of the same functions they were doing before, sometimes for less money.
And one of the things that we talked about is over three years in that job,
Well, he didn't earn a college degree.
He didn't earn a two-year certification.
He didn't earn badges on LinkedIn Learning.
There's a variety of things that he is of informal credentials.
So if you think about a college degree or a two-year certification or a OSHA training or a food safety training as a formal paper certification, there's a ton of informal credentials that this worker has accumulated in their job, in their role, and challenged them to just –
stamp them as your own on your resume.
Put them out there that you were the top retail rep in XYZ area in the month of January 2024.
And one piece of advice is everybody here has, you got game.
You got a lot of skills.
Maybe we have to be a little bit more creative to show it right now.
Because if we don't fight for ourselves as workers, HR...
They aren't going to do it.
They're not going to give you the benefit of the doubt in the interview process.
So, you know, it's on us to find ways to do it, not just for ourselves, but maybe look to your maybe look to your left or your right today at work and help the person next to you as well do the same.
