In the United States of America, we are ranked 34 out of 35 countries in investment and workforce skilling.
It's 0.1% of GDP.
We have to ask ourselves, are we a skill building nation?
And we aren't, which again, tells us a lot.
And again, we're talking about advice to workers and it means that we have to do more.
I wish organizations did more, but in the absence of that, we need to do more.
We need to challenge elected officials.
We need to challenge our academic institutions.
We need to challenge private sector companies to do more too.
And we need to do it authentically, like you said in your opening, and we need to do it together.
Yeah, I think the only other piece of advice is, and I'm seeing it pop up a few times in the chat, what I said around companies not buying skills, they buy credentials.

A worker I was just talking to this week works in a retail environment, has been working for this well-known retail brand for a number of years, has done every job on the front line from night shift to day shift to now assistant manager.
As layoffs happened, assistant managers are now not really assistant managers.
They're workers that we give assistant manager titles to because we think the title means something, but we make them do all the tasks of the frontline worker.
So that's the position that this worker is in.
