I mean, there's there's on one hand, you have reports saying that we're going to top a trillion dollars for the first time ever in holiday spending.
Like Tim's right.
Like who's spending that?
And, you know, when you double click on it, I talk to workers and I've talked to workers a lot over the last bunch of weeks.
Many are working extra shifts.
Many are doing a lot more, maybe carrying a multiple multiple jobs, not one job, two job, three jobs to make it happen.
You know, the.
it is true that the majority of people that are are going to be spending during the holiday season are going into debt i read one survey the other day that said one in three workers today say they're not going to be able to escape
They don't feel confident to be able to escape the holiday debt that they just took on.
So I think workers are working more to make it happen.
I definitely agree that there's probably some – the wealthier at the table are spending and holding this up as well.
But people are trying to be hopeful.
People are trying to get through the holiday season and –
You know, I think the downward pressure is that you have workers that have to do a lot more right now in order to try to stay afloat and make it a good holiday season.
Wow.
Yeah, I think you got money going in circles in a lot of ways, large enterprises and wealthy individuals that are keeping the stock market afloat.
And I think it's true that we can't necessarily look to the stock market anymore
for the ultimate signal of how the economy is doing.
