Whereas in years past, the stock market was the place we would look to understand how the economy is going.
But I think it's become abundantly clear in the last few years, and especially in 2025, that that is not the case.
Because when you talk to people on the front line, you talk to workers on the front line, you talk to the
You talk to me, understand that people are are on a razor's edge.
And because of that, you know, there's there's absolutely a disconnect between what's happening on the street and what's happening in the stock market.
Yeah, I mean, unemployment, what, highest rate in four years?
You got job growth that's clearly slowed.
Wages aren't rising.
You have, when you double, you know what, here's some other scarier data.
Double click on that, younger workers,
their unemployment rate has skyrocketed.
It's north of 9%.
And for the first time ever, you're seeing a larger percentage of workers that are unemployed that have college degrees.
One in four unemployed today have a college degree, which is a totally separate conversation on the value of education to try to help people get through the current economy with all that's happening.
And if you want to talk about AI, we can.
But all that and then you have all this other, you know, other storm coming at workers today.
So, yeah, I mean, I think that this is the numbers don't look good.
And going into 2026, I think the the conversation should be.
centered around how do you how do you weather the storm how do you get through it how you get through it uh is you know again a whole set of questions maybe we can talk to some folks about about that here in a minute but that that is what we should you know that's what we should be centered on right now as individuals thinking about how they take care of their family how they weather an economy that is clearly slowing or is already slowed and
