Of course, they're free to appoint whoever they want, Essendon and the Devils as well.

But it's a pointer potentially to the next best tier of coaches coming through.

So one to watch when it gets underway.

Now, to the best of my knowledge, this group of candidates have not been approached yet.

So that pertains to Essendon, to Carlton, and the Devils are doing their own thing at the moment and maybe going for a different tier of coaches we've spent a lot of time talking about.

But this will happen.

It hasn't happened yet.

But again, one to watch quickly as things get underway.

It feels like Carlton are more advanced than Essendon and the Devils are off doing their own thing, as I say.

He hasn't served his time, Dimmer.

We want him to serve more time if we're at the Gold Coast Persuasion, aren't we?

So that language was interesting.

I mean, it doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence that Ben King is going to stay.

So who knows?

Maybe you frame this as a 50-50 at the moment.

Like we said many times, Gerard, the player himself had been likely to stay because personally, he wants to stay.

But these guys are human like everyone else.
