Carlton probably wouldn't have James Heard in their top 15 or 20 candidates.
So that gives you some sort of suggestion about where I think it's at.
But the Essendon thing is a much more unique scenario, as we well know.

Lots of different messages coming through with lots of different opinions.
Fred says you're contradicting yourself, Gary, with the Carlton thing.
So I'm just saying, Fred, you work it out for yourself.
I don't think he would be in the top 10 or 15 candidates at Carlton.
But the situation at Essendon is completely different, and for reasons that you and I both know, that he's the favourite son, he engenders unbelievable emotion and passion amongst the support base.
They think that he's going to bring all that back to a club that's lacked in that over the past 20 years.
If he's going for the Carlton job, none of that's going to hold any sway.
He has to try and win that on the merit as being the best possible candidate.
So there is a difference in the two of them.
