That's the disconnect going on here.
The marketing department, they're under immense pressure.
oh in many cases they're spending crazy amounts of money on wild marketing things with youtubers they're giving crazy money that i've heard the numbers so a lot of this stuff is um it's there's a conflict here going on at xpeng and this is probably quite interesting i'll do a separate video on that because i'm aware of what's really going on there by the way i should also mention xpeng have blacklisted me so i'm um i don't have any preferential um situation here the products themselves though you've got to say a very very good
But I'll just caution you on the timeline because it's not realistic.
Vice Chairman Brian Gu has said that within 10 to 20 years, he expects the robot business to be bigger than the car business.
That's the real thesis.
And Brian Gu, I've got to say, I have spoken to him and I've got a lot of respect for Brian.
He's a very intelligent man.
And I think that what he's saying here is very likely to be accurate.
Cars are the volume product that funds the AI and feeds it training data.
What about for Australia?
Well, Gu said Australia is the fourth largest right-hand drive market in the world and confirmed the flying car and robo taxi are both planned here once regulations are allowed.
The flying car regulations, I don't see that changing.
I don't see it coming to Australia, but who cares?
It's not really relevant.
That's more of a side mission.
Really, it is a side mission for Xpeng.
I think the flying car personally is a complete waste of money, but who knows?
Xpeng's VLA, self-driving, they say is coming to Australian cars in 2027 at no extra charge.
Of course, that is in order to rival Tesla.
