And the other thing is that not all bonds are alike.
And if you're putting money into a high-yield bond fund or junk bond fund, speculative-grade bond fund, these are all different terms for it.
for for these types of higher risk bonds um you know those bonds those companies can default on those bonds they they can see you know be a little bit more stock light in their volatility
You can buy individual bonds through brokers if you want to, but that's not that common.
You can also buy bonds directly from the U.S.
government yourself if you want to.
But more common is a mutual fund.
And there are a lot of those.
And there are different types of mutual funds.
There's those that are active and those that are passive.
Those are the passive ones, the ones just trying to
match the returns of an index.
And then there's active ones where there are experts trying to beat the market, just like in stocks.
But with bonds, you're more likely to be invested in bonds through a mutual fund rather than stocks where you have a little bit more flexibility to go buying individual stocks on your phone.

There was some data that came out Wednesday before the Fed decision out of Chicago that showed some slowdown in business activity there.
But just generally in recent months, there has been almost this global economic slowdown that has really driven down government bond yields globally, particularly in Europe where government bond yields are now negative in places like Germany, which is something that is quite unusual.
And that's helped drag down U.S.
Treasury yields as well.
No, I don't believe so.
