And you know, the campaign thinks El Sayyid will be able to turn out voters who don't normally vote for Democrats or vote at all.
And what we've been seeing from Osoff has been these big rallies, you know, in addition to your normal smaller campaign events around the state.
But these rallies have really become a hallmark of his campaign because of the ways in which they're designed to be clipped up for social media and then take on a life of their own for sometimes days or even weeks after the campaign.
And what's really interesting about what Osof is doing is we've been talking about him running in.
In this Republican-leaning state where Democrats alone are not enough, and yet Asaf has really not held back in his criticism of President Trump.
Here's a little bit of what that sounds like.
He does focus on Trump a lot, and actually the prelude to that cut is talking about Trump, but saying that Trump is not.
The root of the problem, Trump is a symptom of our politics right now.
So he's both talking about Trump and then also, in some ways, trying to tie it to his Republican opponent, Congressman Mike Collins.
But a lot more of it is kind of a critique of the broader system in this particular political moment.
Yeah, I think it's really interesting point, Mara.
I started covering these awesoff rallies at the very beginning of this re-election campaign, back in like the spring of 2025.
And I was struck when I went to this rally and heard some of this language from him.
Um, you know, I talked about this with Aaron Whiteley.
He's the chair of the Chatham County Democrats down in Savannah, and this is kind of how he described it.
So it's interesting you kinda s hear Osoff walking this line of doing these two things at once and something I've been wondering about as there's been all this talk of maybe a
p possible presidential campaign down the line.
Like is it possible to have it both ways and be all things to all people under the spotlight of a national campaign outside of the very specific context of Georgia?
Well, starting in Georgia, I should say that some of Ossoff's strength with independents and lean Republicans is less about Ossoff and more about his Republican opponent, Congressman Mike Collins.
