You think this is the year to go all in.
And also you're a coach who's thinking, Hey, if I don't get to the playoff this year, my donors and my AD are going to run me out of here.
I think that can lead to some decision-making that can lead to overpayment sometimes based on what the market value is in some cases.
So I've seen a lot of that, but I also do think there's a lot of GMs who are really smart, especially at some of the schools that don't have the biggest payrolls.
A lot of good GMs out there that I feel like get really good bang for the buck.
They're really good in the evaluation.
They're able to find guys.
that maybe are not the splashiest names, they're not going to get the biggest money, that they're able to find those guys and get some bargains.
You know, I think, you know, last year I remember Texas A&M had a couple tight ends that they got very well below the market and turned into really good players on their way to the playoffs.
And those types of things, I think, can make a difference when you're trying to figure out, okay, which of these teams are going to maximize what they have in terms of roster budgets.
No doubt.
I think Austin Simmons is where he is because really what he's lacking is snaps.
is we just haven't gotten to see much of him because he checks every other box.
He's got good ideal prototypical size.
He's good on the move and can run.
He's really good in the pocket.
He looks, when you watch him drop back and just be a pure drop-back passer, he's really good at that.
He delivers the ball on time.
He anticipates.
He's got sufficient arm strength.
