I think all the tier one guys for the most part are getting paid pretty high.
I think Archman is a little bit lower amongst those guys because he's getting a lot of true third party.
You know, the commercial deals you see him and the Warby Parker and the Biori and all that stuff.
Like, Texas didn't have to pay him as much
directly because he's getting some of that.
But yeah, I think all of most of these tier one guys, you're looking probably in the four to $6 million range.
Um, and then some of the tier two guys, I think, you know, you have some that are probably in that 5 million range, but you, you have some that are probably a little bit lower than that.
Um, but, but I would say, yeah, the range for top tier quarterbacks is this last cycle seem to be between four and six, four and six, four and six and a half million roughly.
And then,
You go on down from there.
But, yeah, I think it's really hard to find.
Like, we have Brad Jackson at Texas State who's in the G6.
We have him in the third tier.
And I can promise he's probably getting paid less than a lot of the powerful guys around him.
So we try to not factor in what we know or what we think about the conversation and more just evaluate these guys as quarterbacks.
I mean, I think it's just difficult right now because, again, everybody works with a different budget, number one.
Number two, there is a certain pressure that exists in college football that I believe is unique that can create some rash decisions that make it difficult at times because you have boosters, you have donors to please, some dynamics that exist that don't exist at the NFL level.
At the NFL level where everybody has the same salary cap and a lot of teams must have the same budget, here Texas Tech and Houston have way different budgets.
and way different payrolls and what you can pay a player and what you're willing to pay a player to get it depending on the pressure and depending on what your goals are.
If your goal is to make the college football playoff, you might overpay for a quarterback or you might overpay for a big time receiver because you know what?
