But again, Pauline Hanson is saying you've got to limit negative gearing.
The only thing I'd say about that as well is that in classic populist style, a lot of people go, oh, that sounds very reasonable.
But we had those figures from the RBA this week that said I think 80%
People who negatively gear only have one property.
So if you were to say you can only have one property, like the Greens say, or if you were to say you can only have two properties, as Pauline Anson said, you wouldn't really make much of a change at all.
So you'd have to ask questions, I think, about whether that was worth actually doing.
I don't think it's that complicated.
I think that basically Allegra Spender would like to do it and the rest of them aren't that interested because the other ones kind of raced out to say –
It was a bit like high school.
I think some of them were meant to hold a press conference together that day and they were like, no, we won't do that.
Like, we're not going to stand next to you.
You know, like, if you're going to do that with the cheer squad, we're out.
No, that is just a very silly thing for me to say.
But the other thing that's interesting is that, you know, some of the big backers of the Teals in the beginning don't like the idea of them being called a party.
I just feel like it would cause more problems than it would...
assist to some extent but it's look it's kind of tricky for them i suppose in this no not dissimilarly to the liberal party or the labor party but like you have people like allegra spender who's basically like a classic moderate liberal party person right she's sort of economically uh conservative and socially more left-wing she's kind of like a classic malcolm turnbull really like it's kind of indistinguishable to a large extent
It was probably why Malcolm Turnbull was madly backing her all the time.
But then you have people like Monique Ryan down in Melbourne, who I think is kind of like someone who should be in the Greens, right?
And so, yeah, like, I mean, you'd have the same issue in terms of getting all those people into the tent, I suppose.
Oh, well, I mean, it would get simpler, more simpler for Allegra Spender because she'd have more fellow travellers.
