Yes, we're going to lose them anyway.
So we might as well actually be a Labor government and do Labor things.
And that's what I think this budget's about.
Look, I think it's really fascinating because first of all, I think there are a lot of young people that are already investors.
This whole rent-vestor thing, I think, is interesting for two reasons.
One is some people are doing it.
Two is some people would like to do it.
So it's this kind of aspirational debate.
I don't think you can
define the parameter of it only by people that are doing it.
And it is an interesting idea, the idea that, well, and it's kind of the point the Greens would make, where you're not really bashing the baby boomers as everyone was getting into a froth about before the
budget.
Not that I'm saying that we should be doing anything unkind to baby boomers, but it's not really whacking baby boomers.
It's actually saying to baby boomers, all right, you got us.
You can get everything you want.
You can hang on to everything we want, but we won't let anyone else do that.
So I think that there is an argument there.
But once again, I mean, Pauline Hanson has a longstanding position on this negative gearing thing.
It's not something that she popped out this week.
