Perhaps it's just kind of because I'm dilatory, but I've got to be really seriously persuaded to go out to a cinema.
And it never used to be like that.
But look, you see in the corner of my room, there's a flat screen television.
It's about as big as a football pitch.
And, you know, I've been watching a thing called Godless on Netflix recently.
which is a big Western.
It's fantastic.
The horses are brilliant and the scenery is great and the characters are terrific and everyone looks weather-beaten.
And there's plenty of gunfighting and a little bit of sex.
What more could you want?
Why leave the house?
It's fantastic.
Sometimes.
I mean, that really carried me away.
What I can't bear, actually, having said that, I can't bear sex on the screen.
You know, I think, oh, God, look at those poor actors.
They're having to grind their way through.
This is a really embarrassing half a day for them, simulating things.
And if I've got a fast-forward button, I'll use it because they're always so unconvincing.
Actors are at their most unconvincing, I think, A, in bed, and B, when they're playing other actors.
