There are ways to minimize those, but that's more something for another day.

So from an early age, if you start to be careful of what you're doing with your money,

you're going to be in a better position because you will start to learn the value of saving some, investing some, putting some aside for emergencies.

And these are habits that people often learn too late in life.

And people at the moment will get to around 50 and then they'll start thinking about their retirement, for instance.

Now, the sooner you start to learn some of these things and take them seriously, you will have more time on your side for things to compound.

And

more time to get them right before you get later in life and go, wow, now I have less of my working career to think about this.

So that's also partly what we're going to learn about today.

But as an example, for some of the income levels in the country that you may not know, 20% of working Kiwis roughly earn over $100,000.

So one in five Kiwi people that are working are earning around $100,000 or more.

And a top 1% income in the country is around $280,000 or more.

Now, what you gents have to be really careful about is that when you're scrolling and trolling on TikTok, you know, you can get yourself in trouble by listening to these American influencers and people creating clickbaity-type content saying, I made a million dollars in a month, and it was really easy.

You know, because often they're just talking about how much stuff they have sold, and they're not actually talking about their profit or what their actual income is.

And America is not New Zealand.

So our data here says that if you earned over $280,000, you're in the top 1% of earners.

Okay?

So just be a little bit careful about watching stuff online, seeing these outlier videos of how much people are making and think, okay, that's easy.

And I'm going to show you some YouTube statistics later on, and I'll show you how much I've made from making a million views on YouTube.

And that might surprise you, because hands up if you thought YouTube could be a great career.
