So when I grew up, you know, I grew up on hard work and getting up early and getting on the bus to go from Danny Burke to Palmy Boys early.

So I've never been scared of a hard day.

But what I started to learn is I wasn't really prioritizing my sleep.

And if you want to be creative and speak and do all these cool things and create videos, you really got to prioritize your sleep because otherwise you can't get your words out, you're slurring, you can't come up with your ideas.

But one of the things that I learned was impacting my sleep was drinking alcohol.

Now it's not as fashionable for you guys to be drinking alcohol like it was for me when I was growing up, which is probably a great thing to see.

But why I wanna show you this is because you will think that two or three beers before the rugby game or before an exam or whatever won't impact you, but it will.

So this is sleep data showing you

If I've had a great sleep and I'm up, ready to go, my readiness is really high, then it might be I'm not quite getting enough sleep and my body is telling me, you know, I've gone to bed at 10.30, I've woken up at 5am, and then actually my readiness, like, I'm not actually my full self.

So I'm not as pumped up as I am today, for instance.

And then I go on a bender, I'll be honest, okay?

So I get two and a half hours sleep.

And now my readiness is 20.

My body's telling me, pay attention, mate.

What have you done?

Now...

There's a lot of marketing for alcohol out there.

It will be a part of your life, but you just have to be careful.

And also, it's sort of changed over the years, but it'll be very common to meet up on the Friday and have a few beers before we play the rugby game on the Saturday, the football game, whatever.
