But now, what is the definition of resilience?
If we look at the basic definition of resilience is what?
But if I got a lot of trauma already, what am I recovering back to?
Yeah, well, yeah, it's a sense of coping.
But again, if I don't have a good foundation that I'm going back to, so now I'm just surviving.
And so I get credit because I can survive with a smile and a dance.
that makes you feel comfortable, okay?
And then we can all go walk along kumbaya.
See, I'm not trying to make nobody comfortable with what's going on with me.
And then on top of that, what I found is because for some folks, they've been surrounded by a certain type of trauma so long, they don't even think it is trauma.
So if you're not even having a real conversation, it's like trauma-informed care.
I remember when it first came out,
It didn't have a lot of focus on cultural differences when it first came out.
And it definitely didn't have enough focus on how traumatized staff is who do this work.
And again, the thing about this whole thing about part of our community believe being Black is about suffrage.
And you will get a crown for that, right?
And so if you got a person, and I ask my clients this, because again, my approach of things is connecting the dots.
