Nightmare.

Don't know how that worked.

Oh, no, she had a lot of edge.

She had that with plenty of people.

I think she had a very strong sense of what she wanted to do.

And when she got older, she got a thing called Lewy-bodied dementia.

And so she went slightly blind and she had a block of imagination doing strange stuff.

So she'd think that someone had said something horrible to her that hadn't.

And then she'd be like, well, this person's useless.

So she could be kind of straight and sort of strict.

But she was very kind.

So like...

Over Christmas, she'd always have a big Christmas tree that she'd put a load of chocolates on it.

So instead of decorations, you'd decorate it with chocolate and you always got to have one whenever you visited, which is a really cool idea.

She wasn't like crazy indulgent.

Like she'd never give you like a big portion of anything.

And she'd always take the time to...

check what you've been doing or like take me to one side and ask me how school was or that I was doing really well at this thing and tell me how good I was at art and stuff.

And I always felt like she kind of had an extra eye on me in like a good sense.

So that was nice.
