So Scottie's defense...
think he has a really tough job i think not only does he participate in a great amount of court coverage not is not only is he like a really strong goalie in the lane when he's playing off and being in the gaps he is one of the only forwards that can test shots at the rim at a similar rate to a lot of centers now he's not overly successful at getting stops the same way because that's just that's not how it works you need uh
a bevy of size to be able to create misses the same way.
He is currently the stocks King.
And he's also a guy who is not shy about switching guys out, stepping to help up.
He's not shy about like his defensive rebounding is strong.
His contested rebound rate is really high.
Like he's grabbing the rebounds that matter.
All of that stuff to me is,
and you also like you look at the team there's seventh in defense right now there's not a lot of great Defenders on the team he is he's tying it together in a a really strong and special way to my eye that's that's my pitch now of course I'm not I don't know if I can go head to head one by one against the other seven guys I'm not sure but I did but that's the pitch
I think so too.
And I am really interested to see if the Raptors are able to build, you know, like a really strong defensive core around him in the future at some point and what that would look like.
Because obviously, you know, the Thunder are a really great example.
It's like, wow, all these guys are in consideration.
Like J-Dub is in consideration.
Caruso's in consideration.
Dort's in consideration.
Chet is in consideration.
Hartenstein is in consideration.
