It's partly a reflection of our own development system, but it also shows, Mash, we just don't have the resources in and of ourselves to develop world-class players in Test cricket.
Someone would have to go to County Cricket to get to that level.
So he's a product of the system, but in terms of his development over the last two, three years, it's been external factors mainly, which I feel have taken him to the next level.
I mean, the system can produce players sporadically, but surely for me, if you have a... Especially because West Indies cricket has existed for over 100 years, there should be a more streamlined... You should be able to produce two free Jadon Seals a year, really and truly, with the amount of investment we have in the region and the amount of talent we have in the region.
So the fact he's come about as a generational talent, a one-off, means that as much as we can say he's been developed in the region...
what are we doing to develop more Jadon Seals or why haven't we seen more Jadon Seals?
It's because there's not a streamlined production line.
Like if you look at like, obviously England, Australia have a lot more money and resources, but they're constantly producing fast bowlers, world-class batters through that.
West Indies, we're not producing anything near that.
So our development system is flawed.
But yeah, to answer the basic question, he's a product of the West Indies system at the end of the day, but it's not solely down to West Indies development system as to why he's become so good.
Yeah, definitely.
I think Oben McCoy, fully fit, is our number one death bowler.
There was a period where he was playing for Rajasthan in the IPL.
He was playing for Sussex in England.
He was doing bits for West Indies cricket.
But like you said, Mash, the injuries have really hampered him.
He hasn't been able to play 50 over cricket in years.
T20 cricket, he just about gets by.
if he can get through cpl fully fit i think he'll definitely be near about and stay fit he'll be on that plane to india for the t20 world cup and he's a massive asset because especially with jay ross going our death bowling is a clear issue a massive red flag in the side at the moment and obama would at least provide one option kemo paul not as effective as a death bowler he can do the job but for me keema paul balances out because he can bat as well right so he gives you that option
