By the time the third and fourth record came out, they were the guys throwing the Tibetan Freedom Concert and changing their lyrics and growing.
I allow myself to grow.
I don't expect myself to be fully baked.
And I think I've been very upfront with the audience that I've never claimed to be perfect.
I don't even care about that.
But I'm growing.
And if there's things that I did or said wrong when I was younger, early in my radio career, I don't hold myself to account for it.
However...
I take the same energy, if not more, and apply that to trying to make better maybe some of the things I made worse.
So I work really hard at growing.
We live in an era where you're not allowed to do it because everything's on the record.
And the moment you try to change, somebody will show up online and just go, I remember when you said this.
I don't care.
with those people.
Like I really don't.
And, and so when we say that we're not allowed to, we are allowed to, we're just not allowed to do it and be loved by everybody, but we were never loved by everybody anyway.
And so people will just put their claws into the one thing they don't like about you and they'll hang on to that.
And that's okay.
All that shit is turbulence.
It doesn't stop me from getting on the plane.
