It's what are you doing?
to be a good person, that's the only thing I really value.
So I don't really care.
Like I care about the career.
Otherwise I wouldn't put so much work into it at the expense of everything else in my life.
But I don't feel like I'm a better person because of it.
God, no, not at all.
Well, that's kind of you to say.
Thank you.
You know, it's interesting.
I think that
I allow myself the opportunity to grow.
I kind of live in this, the three acts of the Beastie Boys.
Let me explain it this way.
This is how I think.
That first Beastie Boys record came out when they were children.
I was a child when I heard it.
and it was brash, and it was irresponsible.
But it was only irresponsible if you expected them to be anything other than 15-year-olds, 18-year-olds.
But that second record, Paul's Boutique, which did not get nearly the love that the first one did by any means, was them growing and being artistic and changing who they were.
