I love learning languages.
There was a potential career in diplomacy or international relations, foreign aid.
Like there are so many different ways I could have taken it and it suited a big part of my personality.
So, it's a lot scarier to walk away from something good than it is to walk away from something bad.
And the normal decision-making matrix, like what's a better opportunity?
So, it was probably at the time, like now looking back, it was an easy decision to make.
But at the time, all the ways I had decided things before in my life, they were equal.
It was like, what's a good opportunity?
What has learning potential?
They were both kind of equal.
But what it came down to is
My mom actually was the one who said to me, in 10 years time or five years time or 20 years time, law is not going anywhere.
Like there will always be lawyers.
There will always be taxes.
Even if you're like a year or two behind your cohort, you can always go back.
But this opportunity to be the first to market with Matcha when no one else was really doing it and you already had proof of concept, like the numbers were great.
It was growing faster than we could keep up with.
