Like every era has been just choose the thing that's scary because you'll never regret it.
And through living my life that way, I don't really have any regrets.
It also means that even though some big life decisions are scary and overwhelming and potentially life changing, I don't agonize as much anymore because I just know what questions to ask.
I'm like, what will future me regret more?
Will I regret trying or will I regret not?
And it's life is so much less stressful when you know what to ask yourself in the moment.
I think this is where that whole future regret management thing started and it was so much harder to make the decision at the time because I wasn't at the end of my career.
I was at the beginning and it was going so well and I didn't hate it.
I think you come across so many people who have left corporate careers because they found the hours oppressive because their creativity was stifled and because they hated going to work every day.
I think it's really easy to make a decision when you hate what you're doing.
It's so easy because everything in your body tells you make a change.
It's really hard to make a decision when you're like,
I actually like this.
I loved being a lawyer.
It was so intellectually stimulating.
It ticked so many boxes.
It's successful objectively.
There's so many prospects.
