This is one of my least favorite subject areas and the reason for that is because the statutes and the rules are currently so unhelpful.
And and sure that any of you who've read the general practice and procedure draft rules have seen what we're trying to do.
But um yeah.
We're getting some pushback.
Anyway.
Aresia said subsection A is ambiguous as to who may be subpoenaed and who may request a subpoena.
Citing um Article fifteen, section four of the Arizona Constitution does not resolve the need for clarity in the rule text because it doesn't specify who may request subpoenas or be subpoenaed.
Um whether objections must be in writing or what standards apply to issuing, modifying, or quashing a subpoena.
A actually concerns the presiding officer's ability to get a subpoena.
So I don't know that you specifically were just talking about A.
