By lap two, there was just no point.

But aside from my grassroots cross country, it was the European Cross Country Championships in Portugal, which didn't look quite as muddy as the course that I was taking on.

No, it was very groomed golf course, sandy.

But some incredible performances.

So the team from the UK took the team bronze.

which was very cool.

But even cooler, Megan Keith, who we saw competing at the Olympics, I think in the 10,000, she took silver, came second behind Nadia Batacletti, who took first in the women's race.

I think it's really good.

There's so many things that like trail running and cross-country running can help.

Yeah, I know.

I think it's just great.

It just gives you, it gives you another opportunity to like race, to be competitive, to like run against like the same people as well.

Six months of the year.

Yeah, everyone's assuming they're just sat on a beach.

But yeah, some incredible performances.

Also, Scott Beattie narrowly missed out on bronze and had to settle for fourth.

Also, at the weekend, though, it was Malaga marathon and half marathon.

We were out there last year and so many of the Running Channel team enjoyed being out there last year that loads of them butchered to go back.

There's literally no one in today, it's Monday.

So Jess ran her 40th marathon of the year in Malaga with her brother-in-law.
